PRE-PSYCHOLOGY CLINICAL SKILLS SUPERVISION
Where High-Achieving Students Become Credible Future Clinicians
Students applying to psychology, pre-med, and human science programs often look the same on paper; strong grades, leadership, and a stated passion for helping people.
But admissions are asking a deeper question:
Has this student actually demonstrated the ability to function in a human-centered field?
Most students cannot answer that with evidence.
This program was designed to change that.
Through guided clinical scenarios, direct observation, and structured feedback, students are evaluated on how they think, communicate, and respond in real-world interpersonal situations.
They are not just learning.
They are being assessed.
Over time, something most students never have begins to emerge:
Evidence of early clinical competency.
Not just interest; but the ability to function in the field.
The letter of recommendation is not a guaranteed outcome. Only the students that exhibit the necessary skills and attitudes from the helping professionals will receive these high impact reference.
It is earned through demonstrated performance, growth, and professional readiness across the program.
A letter based on direct evaluation from a licensed clinician carries a different level of credibility. It reflects qualities that transcripts cannot capture; emotional maturity, communication, ethical awareness, and professional presence.
Led by Valerie Stubbs, PhD, LMFT, a clinical supervisor with over a decade of experience training graduate-level interns and licensure-track clinicians , this program is designed for students who are serious about entering psychology, healthcare, or other human-centered professions.
